To better summarise the greatness of presenting the QPR POTM award at the pitch side of the stadium let’s read the words of one our past winners. Andrew McColl answered our questions after the amazing experience he and his friend lived in November 2018 when meeting Joe Lumley, the October 2018 QPR Player of the Month:

Q: How was your experience at Loftus Road?
A: It was great! From the moment we entered the reception area we were made comfortable. Whilst we were waiting to be taken through the magical Loftus Road tunnel to the pitch, we met Chris Kamara! We had the opportunity to take a few pics of the trophies (including the 2013/14 Championship Play Off Final Trophy – what a day out that was!) And the Managers & Honours boards.
Particularly poignant was the Remembrance plaque, given that the match was the Saturday before Remembrance Sunday, and QPRs chance to honour the Armistice Centenary, and honour the sacrifices made by so, so many for the freedoms we enjoy today.
It was wonderful to enter the arena that is Fortress Loftus Road through the players tunnel! Fabulous to get a few pics in the QPR dugout, and it was fantastic to be at the side of the pitch, literally stood on the bye-line; whilst the players prepared for the game just a few feet in front of us! I was tempted to show the lads a few skills & tricks, sadly time wasn’t on our side – their loss!
As we left the playing area, going back through the players tunnel, we bumped into Steve McClaren, more pics taken, and the opportunity to offer to some sound tactical advice!!! Great seats in the South Africa Road Stand, affording a great view of a terrific win!

Q: How was meeting and presenting POTM award to Joe Lumley? What are your thoughts on Joe becoming the POTM?
A: What a tall man Joe Lumley is! From where I usually sit (Upper Loft), you really don’t appreciate just how tall he is! I’m guessing about 8 foot 6!!!
Joe seemed really, really happy to receive the award – to the point that no matter how many QPR staff offered to take the award from him – that plaque was going back with him, in his safe pair of hands – back to the dressing room!

The rain didn’t stop Sportito’s user brandz96 from taking a special picture with Eberechi Eze, the October 2019 QPR Player of the Month, before the beginning of the R’s match against Middlesbrough held at Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium on the 9th of November 2019.

After reading the recollection of his special day now You can see the moment Andrew, aka andyqpr007, and his friend presented to Joe Lumley his QPR POTM Award before the QPR v Brentford match on the 10th of November 2018. A truly great moment for all of them!
